‘Money won’t make you happy but it will make you mean’
Are rich people mean? We all like to beat the competition, taking part in a Formula One race as you can see it from the wonderful roads of Dubai.
‘The rich’ think they can never lose and don’t want to so they never give up. We see people cutting you off on the roads, starting heated arguments, never wanting to wait in a queue. Sometimes, people with a lot of money or with a lot of education seem to think they are better than others.
But more does not always make someone better. However, when one believes they’re better than another, it’s often easy to treat others with disrespect. When I see people with a brand new shirt and pants, a pair of polished shoes, with a tie and a suit pulling out that wallet with millions of colourful cards in it, we feel that they are the king and on top of the world.
-

Obviously, their main intention is money so they will be self-centered and mean. My advice to everyone is always come two steps down. Money won’t bring you happiness. One day if you don’t have money in your account, you will go begging for it.
The thing is we’ve all learned from these people and have picked up the same habit so it’s now not just the rich, but everyone from the grocery store keeper to the taxi drivers who are mean and impatient.

“I agree with you Mr. Gavtek, you cant judged people by his appearance, full of money / credit cards on his/her wallet or how they dress up.. as the saying goes "don't judge a book by its cover"..
Were all individual differences so we can know the person itself personally..”

“Oh dear Mr. Litty.
Are you one of the very many people in Dubai who judge based on your own insecurity?
You have labelled every single demographic of person in Dubai, yet you add them all to the "Money Factor"
Money Talks, Wealth Whispers!!!! maybe you need to think about that more, as the real rich, stay very quiet, very quiet indeed!!!
Please feel free to respond to this, as no doubt you'll find something hidden within this to retort with nothing short of inept nonsense!!!!”

“When I see someone with new clothes and freshly shined shoes, I usually think 'they're probably on their way to work, or a date, or up in court'…. Gav makes a good point, why are you looking in people's wallets with such envy? If they are full of nice shiny cards, they are probably credit cards, and probably all maxed up to their limits trying to impress people who would be bothered to take notice. Oh, and not all rich people behave the way you think. Plenty of them lead quiet lives, have nice families, drive normal cars, wait in line for their Starbucks, always give way at junctions, and always have time for their friends. Its probably the wannabees and wallet watchers so feel the need to shore up their delicate egos by ruining everyone else's day.”

“I often wear a brand new shirt and pants, a pair of polished shoes with a tie and a suit, and my wallet does have a lot of colourful cards.
How dare you call me self-centred and mean, I would appreciate in future if you keep your eyes out of my wallet when I open it to buy a sandwich in a shop during my lunchbreak from my job where I'm required to wear the aforementioned suit.
What gives you the right to go around judging people and then broadcast your own prejudices as some sort of philosophical enlightenment in the local newspaper?
Perhaps you need to address your own inferiority complex before judging others on what they wear.”
