BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe launched in UAE

BMW has taken the wraps of the all-new 6 Series Gran Coupe - the first four-door coupe in the firm’s history.

The segment - a hybrid of saloon and coupe - was pioneered by Mercedes-Benz with the CLS and has also proved a happy hunting ground for Porsche in the region with the Panamera.

The Gran Coupe was unveiled to UAE media at AGMC’s dealership in Dubai, and it received a warm welcome.

Sleek, sporty and built with a real attention to detail, the new 6 Series is powered by a choice of two twin turbo engines, a 3.0l and a 4.4l V8.

Both models - the 640i and the 650i - come with eight-speed automatic gearboxes.

Inside, the interior quality is excellent, although like most cars in his segment, room in the back is limited. BMW has also produced a new colour for the model, frozen brown metallic.
