Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie buy UK mansion in London's Richmond area

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reportedly splashed out on a £10 million mansion in the UK.

The Hollywood couple recently got engaged after seven years of dating. Along with planning their upcoming wedding, the pair have also snapped up a property in the exclusive area of Richmond in south west London.

“Brad and Angelina hold an affection for the UK so this investment makes sense,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.

The stars and their six children spent time in Richmond last summer, while Brad was shooting World War Z. The family rented Whornes Place during their stay in the UK and fell in love with the period property.

Their new house boasts 15th century wooden beams, an indoor swimming pool, wooden floors and latticed style windows. It is close to the river and Heathrow airport.

Last year, there were rumours the couple were house-hunting in the area.

"It's a great environment for their kids to grow up,” a source said at the time.
