Chris Brown to aid Drake brawl probe

Chris Brown “quickly called his lawyer” after he was involved in a fight.

The R&B singer and rapper Drake are said to have clashed in New York City nightclub WIP in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Chris’ attorney, Mark Geragos, was there for his client immediately following the brawl.

“Chris quickly called his lawyer in the minutes after the attack,” a source told Radar Online. “Contrary to reports Chris didn’t flee from the scene, it was a very fluid situation and Chris just wanted to make sure that his girlfriend, Karreuche Tran, was safe.

“Luckily for Chris, his attorney happened to already be in New York City and he has been talking with detectives from the NYPD and with management at the nightclub.

“Chris, Karreuche and other members of his entourage will fully cooperate with law enforcement.”

French basketball player Tony Parker, who was with Brown, claims he suffered a scratched retina in the fight, which included bottles being thrown.

Chris is still on probation for assaulting Rihanna at the Grammys years ago.

“Chris will do whatever is asked of him and will be formally questioned about the club melee,” the source continued. Authorities in New York are investigating the incident.
