However the child was denied entry into UAE by airport immigration officials since he possessed no residence visa.

Police said the child’s father had advised his wife to stuff the baby into one of their bags insisting that he would be safe and that no one would notice.

At around 10am on Saturday, the bag containing the baby went through an X-ray scanner. Security staff opened it and found the baby. When questioned, the baby’s mother said that she had been coerced by her husband to do it.

Police have charged the couple with endangering the life of the baby and attempting to smuggle him into the UAE.
