Director defends Aishwarya Rai over pregnancy weight gain
Actor and director Pooja Bhatt has criticised the furore over Aishwarya Rai's post pregnancy weight, according to One India Entertainment.
Bhatt wrote on Twitter: "Find this debate about Aishwarya Rai's weight inane. She is a gorgeous woman period. All the ugly people being malicious should take a hike!"
A number of other celebrities, including Lara Dutta and Sonali Bendre, have also leapt to the defence of Rai, who has faced criticism from some people that she is carrying too much weight after giving birth last year.
Aishwarya, pictured here at Dubai World Cup in March and before her pregnancy, gave birth to her baby girl Aaradhya in November.
Dutta told a leading daily paper: “You have no rights to pass comments on a woman like Aishwarya, who has gone through a hard time during pregnancy.
"I didn’t put on weight because I practiced yoga during my pregnancy, but that’s a personal choice which may not be the case with Ash. So, please refrain from getting judgmental.”
And Bendre was quoted as saying: “People are being too harsh on Aishwarya. She has just had a baby. She deserves a break. Please let her be. Let her enjoy this happy phase of her life.”

“people really need to get a life, remember when you point 1 finger at some one you have 4 fingers pointing back to you. So back off she looks a million times better in her worst day then you will ever look in your best day ever!.
If according to people she is not so fit or hot any more so what she still has the crown of being the most beautiful women in the world.
And what beauty crowm any of you hater's have look in the mirror before you pass your judgement on her or anyone who struggles with their weight.”

“Leave her alone! It's her body, if she wants to be fat or thin or whaterver it's her choice. She had a baby, hasn't lost the weight yet, so its obviously not a priority for her she has a child to take care of now even though I'm sure she has nannies otherwise how would she be able to still attend events? She has the money to opt for a gym or surgery if she wishes she can do so. Some women get their pre baby weight back, some take a longer time and some never do. It's her call, I'm sure when she has a movie on offer she will be told she needs to lose the weight so I think she can do without others pressurizing her also!”
