Dubai fashionistas keen to bag a piece of chic at Prada super store
Large may not be a size normally associated with trim-fitting fashion label Prada.
But the luxury brand is reporting brisk business since it opened the doors to its third biggest store in the world - at Dubai shopping centre Mall of the Emirates.
Equipped with Prada’s famous opulent chequered black and white marble floor, parts of the Dubai emporium at the Al Barsha shopping haven have even been modeled on its flagship boutique at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in the fashionista capital of Milan in Italy.
Shop workers at the Prada store, which opened to the public last Wednesday, told 7DAYS that they’ve been delighted with the amount of shoppers who splashed the cash on opening weekend.
“We’ve had a lot of people in through the door,” said one employee. “Business has been really good.”
A spokesperson for Prada, who has its largest store in the Russian capital of Moscow, was unable to divulge how much had been spent decorating the new Dubai shop or definitive takings on its opening weekend.
