Dubai's Darley suspends jockey over fixing claims
The Dubai-based Darley racing operation has suspended Australian jockey Mark Zahra while police investigate race-fixing allegations.
Zahra, who has just returned from a riding stint in Hong Kong, has been named by Australian media in connection with a probe by Victoria state police into claims an April 2011 race in Melbourne was fixed.
It is alleged jockeys rode to ensure the favorite lost.

Zahra confirmed Darley told him he wouldn't be required until the case is resolved, saying "the really disappointing thing is that I haven't been charged with anything... I'm implicated in something, I guess, but I haven't been charged."
Darley is a worldwide thoroughbred racing and breeding operation.
