Duo jailed for car romp near Jumeirah beach

Two men have been locked up after they were found engaging in a sex act in a car near Dubai’s Jumeirah Open Beach during a ‘driving lesson’.

The 27-year-old Filipino beauty salon receptionist and a 32-year-old Omani were handed three-month prison terms by Dubai Court of Misdemeanors yesterday after being found guilty of committing an indecent act.

The court was told an Emirati woman spotted the pair in the vehicle when she out walking at about 2am one morning last month near her home. She said the engine was running but the lights were off.

“When the driver saw me he moved his car next to our neighbour’s boat,” said the 48-year-old Emirati woman.

The woman said she then sneaked through the trees and the car moved again. “I was suspicious so called the police. I couldn’t see what happening inside the vehicle because it was dark,” she added.

When police arrived they found the pair touching each other. The Filipino had claimed the Omani had been teaching him how to drive.

“He tried to kiss me on the cheek but I stopped him because we were in a public place and people might see us,” said the Filipino.

“If I had been with him in a private place I wouldn’t have hesitated to have sex with him.” The Omani said during investigations the Filipino had made advances on him. The Omani said: “I felt like having sex with him but I did not because I was scared he would be HIV positive.”

He said they had been friends for about five months after meeting on the internet.
