Employer gets death penalty for raping job seeker
A manager who lured a woman to his office for a job interview has been handed the death sentence after he was convicted of raping her.
Dubai Court of First Instance heard how the 44-year-old Iraqi posted an advertisement in an Arabic newspaper for a secretary.
The victim contacted the defendant on the number in the advertisement and agreed to meet him.

When the 30-year-old victim arrived at the location she discovered it was a studio apartment. She said the manager locked the door and started asking about her qualifications. She said the conversation then shifted to flirting.
“He started saying that I have beautiful eyes but that there was sadness in them,” she said in official records.
She said she felt uncomfortable and said she wanted to leave but he pulled back as she walked towards the door and threw her on his desk and raped her.
The woman told prosecutors that she screamed and fought with him as hard as she could but he was too strong for her to overcome.

“Divya you really know what you're putting yourself through by saying you want Saudi law in the rest of the world? You'd probably get the sentence for what you're wearing in your dp as well.
Don't get me wrong I hate rapists, and this guy's no different, but the recent surge of death sentences here in the UAE is disturbing at best.”

“Oh my god, this world has lost it completely! He deserves it, they shouldn't change their mind about the death penalty what so ever!
No shame even during Ramadan. How horrible is that?
Poor girl, hope she recovers from that horrible "interview"!
I think when rape is concerned, the rest of the world should follow the Saudi law. Flogged to death!”
