Expat singer dreams of performing with Bieber
She has made it through the first round and now wants to appear on stage with pop sensation Justin Bieber.
Dubai performer Chesi, 20, (left) has been practising for a chance to perform with Bieber (right) on this global ‘Believe’ tour. She passed the first round of an international audition to find backing singers and dancers for the Canadian crooner’s tour.
“The first round was online and I have a pretty strong internet presence so I went through,” she said.

The second round includes uploading video or audio and Chesi has been working on her dance moves all week.
“A friend is helping me with hip-hop. I’m learning breakdancing, freestyle, that kind of thing. It’s going really well but it takes time to get it right,” she said.
Chesi has until August 17 to submit videos of her performances in the hope Bieber’s management will call her in for a further audition.
Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, she moved to Dubai with her mother, went to school in Sharjah and has been performing at hotels to get exposure in the Middle East - and she is hoping to be spotted internationally.
“In Canada, there are a lot more music venues, so it would be easier for me to perform, I think I can get my name out there,” she said.
Her music is on iTunes, featuring some covers and some of her own tracks.
She is also using her time to perform for special needs children and is meeting with staff at Al Noor Hospital this week to set up a post-Ramadan concert in the
special needs section.
“It makes me very happy to see the smiles on their faces because special needs children can often be overlooked,” Chesi said.
Her facebook page is facebook.com/DestinatorForever.
