Cesc Fabregas scored the deciding penalty on Wednesday to give Spain a 4-2 shootout win over Portugal and a spot in the European Championship final.

Having ended 120 minutes of football goalless, the two sides had to settle the match from the penalty spot, the second game of the tournament to go the distance after Italy knocked England out in the same manner on Sunday.

Andres Iniesta, Gerard Pique and Sergio Ramos also scored for Spain.
