Football's old masters hit Dubai
The UAE’s finest will get the chance to showcase their skills against four of Europe’s most famous clubs when the second edition of the Dubai Indoor Football Championship kicks off early next month.
Masters from La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid return to the Emirates once again and will be joined by Italian and Dutch heavyweights Roma and Ajax for the July 8-12 event.
The teams bring with them a stack of former stars including French World Cup winner Christian Karembeu (pictured) and Fernando Morientes for Real and ex-Roma stalwart Damiano Tommasi to name a few.

Eight sides will be split into two pools, with the UAE Stars dumped alongside Real, Ajax and Egypt Stars and Barca, Roma, Zamalek and Morocco Stars in the other.
The teams will be battling it out in Dubai World Trade Centre’s Sheikh Rashid Hall, which has been transformed into an indoor arena with seating space for over 2,500 fans.
