Guard accused of molesting woman
A security guard is accused of molesting a woman who asked him to show her the way to a school in Jebel Ali.
Dubai Court of First Instance heard that the 22-year-old was approached by the British woman, also 22, was looking for the school with a friend.
Prosecutors say she asked the defendant to show her the way, at which point he told her to come with him to his room as he had some maps they could look at.

“He was searching for the maps inside his room when he touched my bottom and I thought it was mistake,” she said.
“But he touched me again and I was scared and as I was stepping out the room he touched me again.”
She added: “He apologised but I went to the car where my friend was waiting for me and told her what happened. We then called the police.”
The defendant failed to show in court and trial has been adjourned. He has not entered a plea.

“dxbgal: No, she was not dumb and please stop blaming the victim. The only person at fault here is the security guard. It is not unreasonable to assume that a man will be able to control his actions as billions do every day. Unfortunately this one was an exception. As for your suggestion never to go in a lift with a man, that is absurd. What a fraught and stressful life you must lead.”

“Sicko but seriously is this woman dumb or what? Who in their right mind would go willingly into a STRANGER'S room even if he is a security guard? Women here must be on their guard always, too many pervs around, I never go alone in elevators if a man is in it, I don't sit in front in taxis and I never open my door if I haven't ordered any delivery.”
