Labourer on trial for stabbing fellow worker
A labourer has gone on trial for allegedly killing a fellow worker who wanted to have sex with him.
A 22-year-old Pakistani construction worker appeared before Dubai Court of First Instance today and denied a murder charge.
Official records state that cops were called to a labour camp in the Refaa area of Dubai where they found the victim with two stab wounds to his stomach.

He was taken to Rashid Hospital where he died from his injuries four days later.
The victim’s brother said in records that he spoke with his sibling before he died who told him that the defendant stabbed him with a knife.
An Emirati policeman said in official records: “The defendant claimed that the victim asked to have a homosexual affair with him. When he refused the victim raised a knife and threatened him. He said he stabbed him to defend his honour.”
The case was adjourned.
