Mad Mayweather pulls no punches
Floyd Mayweather may not be fighting Manny Pacquiao any time soon, but they're almost certain to meet in court after the American reiterated his claim that his rival uses performance-enhancing d
Promoting Saturday’s bout with Miguel Cotto in Las Vegas, a question regarding the tiresome topic of why he and the Filipino fury had yet to touch gloves sparked a bitter tirade from Mayweather - during which he alleged Pacquiao was a drugs cheat.
Pacquiao is currently suing ‘Money’ for defamation regarding previous accusations made in relation to doping, an allegation he firmly rejects. However, that didn’t stop the undisputed king of trash-talk from unleashing another verbal barrage at ‘Pacman’, as he refuses to believe his rival’s rapid rise through the ranks was achieved legally.
“People say, ‘We don’t give a **** if he’s taking or not; we just want to see the fight. We don’t give a **** about your health and we don’t give a **** about your family,’ the undefeated Mayweather said.
Pacquiao is an eight-division champion, graduating from flyweight through to light-middleweight. But Mayweather, who has demanded that for a bout to take place Pacquiao must adhere to random blood testing, added: “I’m going up in weight but I’m not just walking through no damn fighters.
“Go back and look at the pictures. His head is small and then all of a sudden his head just grew? Come on man, stop this. You’re going to tell me this is all natural. Come on man, stop.”
Mayweather then turned his attention to Pacquiao’s legendary promoter Bob Arum and fellow boxing bigwig Don King, claiming they couldn’t care less about their fighters’ well-being.
“Don King and Arum don’t see out the eyes of a fighter because they’re not a fighter,” Mayweather fired. “All they care about is money. I care about a fighter’s well-being because I am a fighter. I know how it is to have a broken rib the rest of your life. I know how it is to piss blood. You all don’t know nothing about this.
“This is how the world is, you get writers saying, ‘Floyd is scared’. No, Floyd cares about his family. Floyd is smart. You all know for a fact I’m not scared. You all know that.”
