Man accused of filming women on Dubai Metro
A commuter has been accused of filming women on his mobile phone while travelling on the Dubai Metro.
The 28-year-old Pakistani went on trial at Dubai Court of First Instance on Wednesday. The court was told the man had been zooming in on women’s bottoms and breasts on his phone and recording the footage.
Police claim they found 13 videos on the man’s mobile, each featuring women at different locations on the metro and close-ups on their curves.

A commuter has been accused of filming women on his mobile phone while travelling on the Dubai Metro
Official records state that the defendant was apprehended when a female metro user approached a policeman at Al Rashidiya Metro Station and told him that the Pakistani had been filming her. The officer said: “I stopped him and asked him if he had been recording women. He denied it.
“I asked to check his phone and he agreed. I found that the last video was of the girl who had informed me about him.”
The policeman said that he then looked through all the recordings on the man’s mobile phone. He said: “There were videos taken inside metro stations and on the trains of many women. He used to zoom in on their breasts and bottoms.”
The defendant told officers that he was merely using his mobile to record the scenery.
“I was recording in public places and did not intend to record strange women,” the defendant said. He has pleaded not guilty to sexual molestation and the case has been adjourned to a later date.

“Why am I not surprised? It kills me to read this esp since I am also Pakistani but I know how men of my country behave esp since they're not used to seeing girls in western clothes!! I would want this guy to be fined heavily so next time he wants to film another person, he checks out his bank balance first!! Ashamed of him!!”
