Middlesex University students 'to climb Everest' at Ski Dubai
Students are set to conquer Mount Everest without leaving Ski Dubai.
In support of the United Nations International Mountain Day 2012, Middlesex University Dubai has teamed up with Ski Dubai to organise the first event for ‘International Mountain Day Campaign’ in the emirate.
The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of the importance of mountains and support this year’s theme of deforestation.

On December 11, students will climb to the top of Ski Dubai, pictured inset, three times and in doing so they will not only experience the chill and extreme conditions, but their combined climb of 29,035ft will equate to the height of the world’s highest peak Mount Everest, pictured.
More than 150 students have already signed up to take part. Third year media students from the uni also plan to plant trees, donated by Al Futtaim Engineering in schools, to support the campaign.
