PHOTOS: Dubai Ruler, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince take part in Qasr Al Hosn parade
UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was one of several royal family members to take part in the Qasr Al Hosn festival parade in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Deputy Supreme Commander Armed Forces HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Dubai Crown Prince HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also took part in the event over the weekend which celebrates 250 years of Emirati history and culture.
Sheikh Mohammed also attended the heritage gala where the history of Abu Dhabi is narrated through stories of pearl diving and falconry and where traditional folklore is demonstrated through crafts from the desert, the oasis and the coast.
Sheikh Mohammed also watched the ‘The Story of a Fort, Legacy of a Nation’ show by Franco Dragone, a leading international art director, that showcased a performance of dancers, acrobats and gymnasts including several Emirati performers who turned written history into visual reality.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed his pride in the exhibition which commemorates Al Nahayn’s journey from Liwa to Abu Dhabi and celebrates the 250-year legacy of Abu Dhabi, the Capital founded by the founding father late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
