Prisoner who started fire jailed for an extra three months

A prisoner has been jailed for a further three months for setting fire to a pillow in his cell at Dubai Central Jail.

The 47-year-old Emirati was convicted of deliberately setting fire to the cushion, risking others lives and causing damage costing Dhs15.

Official records said he set fire to the pillow in an attempt to be taken out of solitary confinement.

The defendant was previously convicted of starting another fire in his in which he caused Dhs85 worth of damage to a blanket. He received a further three months jail time for this offence.

    sorry its just funny , i mean damage worth of 15, and 85dhs the poor guy gets 3month.
    they should put him in solitary again or something, but 3month is bit to much.”
