7DAYS

A few months back it was reported that a doberman in Jumeirah Village Triangle went on the rampage and ripped two little dogs to pieces.

The doberman’s owner allegedly told police that the dog escaped and hasn’t been seen since, that is until a few eagle-eyed residents spotted the doberman back in its garden with its owner!

The entire community is now at a terrified standstill, we are afraid to walk our dogs let alone have our children play in the parks should the dog get out again we shudder to think what might happen. How can this be allowed?

What are the authorities doing to avert an almost certain fatality in the future, canine or human?

Jumeirah Village Triangle is just next to Springs and Meadows and only down the road from the Greens.

“If people have seen the dog in the garden with it's owner, I urge them to inform the police to ensure something is done about it....Please.”

“I saw a man with a large Doberman a few weeks ago, it was running around off it's lead on the land underneath the electricity pylons, I felt a bit concerned but I didn't know about this story and I didn't realise they are banned in Dubai.

I also saw the same man and dog walking this morning on the estate, this time the dog was on a lead.

Something has got to be done, it could be a child that is attacked next time.”

“What did the police say when you called them to advise the killer dog had "returned"? You did call them didn't you?”

“The attitude towards dogs here unless a specific breed of dog is one of 'so what' the same for cats. TBH I lost any interest in your beloved pets when I had to walk around piles of dog waste by my villa left by lazy owners who let their tired maids do the walking. The maids did not want to pick it up so it just got left, truly disgusting!... As for the Dober(whatever) take it up with the authorities, or do they read 7 Days?”

“What are the authorities doing???!!!?? has any one of you called the authorities or you are only hiding in fear at your homes??? Do you expect the authorities to have 24 / 7 surveillance waiting for the return of the dog??”
