Sandstorm causes 20-car smash on Dubai Ring Road

A sandstorm caused a major accident involving 20 cars on a Dubai highway.

Dubai Traffic Police said the storm caused poor visibility which led to the smash on Dubai Ring Road.

Cops also blamed motorists for not leaving enough space between vehicles for causing the accident.

Just one motorist was seriously injured in the crash and was taken to hospital for treatment. A number of people sustained minor injuries.

Police warned drivers to take extra caution when driving in such windy weather conditions.
