Sealed with a kiss - but how many to give?
After spending some time in Dubai, one becomes accustomed to the ritual of ‘greeting kisses’ (a peck on the cheek to say hello).
However, of late, there appears to be a number of different ‘greeting kiss’ techniques emerging, with the number of kisses ranging from one, right up to a complex three-kiss manoeuvre.
A visit to any Jumeirah cafe after school drop-off will provide ample evidence of this.

As I experienced recently, the sheer uncertainty as to which technique to adopt can lead to all sorts of awkward moments, not least of which is one person “taking an air swing” (to coin a golfing phrase). Wouldn’t it be fabulous if we could all just adopt a consistent approach?
