Manchester City sealed the Premier League title with the most dramatic of victories over Queens Park Rangers at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

To the delight of the 47,000 people packed into the stadium and fans around the globe, Pablo Zabaleta, Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero all scored to cement a 3-2 victory and win the third league title in City's history - the first since 1968.

City, who are owned by Abu Dhabi's HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, just had to match Manchester United's result against Sunderland to ensure they finished above their city rivals on goal difference. With United winning 1-0 at Sunderland, the pressure was on City to overcome the final hurdle.

With only stoppage time remaining, City were 2-1 down to goals from QPR's Djibril Cisse and Jamie Mackie, who looked to have ruined the party for Manchester City.

But two late goals turned the match around and sent the blue half of Manchester into raptures, some tweeting their joy at City's success at the final whistle. @najwaawjan tweeted: "The title is staying in MANCHESTER but going to the blue side of the CITY!"

"Manchester United don't deserve the title anyway. Lost 6-1 and 1-0 to Man City," @Louiskwakye said on Twitter, whilst Gary Armstrong on facebook simply said 'CITY! AGUERO! Game Over!'.
