'Shopper knifed me' claims Dubai supermarket manager
A supermarket manager in Dubai claims he was stabbed by a customer who became angry over how long his delivery had taken to arrive.
Nuashad BP, 23, was admitted to Rashid Hospital on Friday night with a large wound to the left side of his chest.
He says he was attacked at about 11pm as he left Al Madeena Supermarket in Al Nahda, where he works. Nuashad is being treated for a collapsed lung and broken ribs, and may have to undergo surgery.

He told 7DAYS yesterday that a customer had made an order for vegetables, fruits and fish earlier that day, but the delivery had been delayed by the weekend rush.
“After I made the delivery, he kept calling me the entire afternoon and using very abusive words,” Nuashad said.
“I hung up on him after he became more aggressive and ignored all his calls.” Nuashad claims that as he left the supermarket after shutting up shop, the man was waiting for him, wielding a knife. He says the suspect and another man attacked him.
“He tried three times to stab me but I managed to dodge the knife, but the fourth time he struck me deep in the left side of the chest,” he said.
“I was lucky that at that moment my friend was passing by and saw what was going on and rushed to my rescue.”
The rescuer took him to hospital and also called Dubai Police.
7DAYS tried to contact an officer investigating the case, but no one was available yesterday.

“Crazy customers.. if your goods has been delayed of delivery you will kill anyone.. This customer needs a psychiatrist because even your disappointed of anything for a mild reasons you will not hit anyone just to revenge. Definitely, this kind of customer needs a psychiatrist coz he is out of his mind...”

“This should be an easy case to solve - from the attack on Friday the police have the suspects phone number and delivery address and by the time you reported it on Monday the suspect will be sitting in jail waiting trial”
