Snubbed in women-only line as I was stood with spouse
I was kept waiting in the queue to pay my internet bill because the cashier said I was accompanied by my husband.
I was standing on female-only line but the cashier kept on calling the males from another line. I felt humiliated and insulted. When I finally went to pay she told me she knew that I was with my husband and even there are cameras to prove it. Her remark made me upset and I wonder if I would have been allowed to pay if I had been accompanied by any other male.
She should have just concentrated on clearing the bill instead of inspecting with whom the customer visited.

“They have female counters and lines and she still needed her husband to hold her hand - what century are we in??? Lady I think the counter staff was trying to tell you that it is okay to do things by yourself nowadays.”

“God forbid you should actually think you could do anything without your husband's permission - and to think we are in the 21st Century. What a bunch.”
