Tenants are innocent victims in water disaster

Last year Nakheel disconnected both water and electricity to properties in Discovery Gardens due to ‘non- payment’ of management fees.

This year in Marina Residences, Palm Jumeriah the residents fear the same issue. Nakheel have already drained all the pools and water features.

As tenants we have to secure our tenancy by either paying 12 months in advance or by post-dated cheques that cannot be cancelled. We, as tenants, are the innocent party in this fiasco. Where else would this situation be allowed to happen?

“@sharon: what you said makes sense with any other company. Rather than resort to decency and common sense, the preferred tactic is to buly and extort the tenants.”

“Perhaps RERA could order the water & power of Nakheel's offices be cut?”

“What is the delay in getting to the core of the problem, Nakheel knows who is responsible, so take action and resolve the issue. In the meantime the tenants are suffering from unfilled pools and threat of disconnecting services. Good luck in trying to get answers, enter the vicious circle.”
