A jet skier is in hospital suffering from head injuries after he collided with another jet ski.

The 25-year-old German tourist was rushed to Saqr Hospital after the accident on Monday and is in the intensive care unit. Head of the emergency department at the hospital, Dr Yusuf Al Twair, told 7DAYS the victim had suffered brain damage but his condition was improving and he is now stable.

Police blamed the accident on rough sea conditions due to the weather. The other jet skier was unhurt.
