Twilight fan Lauren Adkins is taking her obsession with the vampire series to a new level by marrying a cardboard image of Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen in a wedding ceremony in Las Vegas.

According to the UK's Metro, the 24-year-old has booked the minister, flowers and cake and has invited 50 guests to the event. 'I'm going through all the steps a normal bride does. It's absolutely real,' Adkins said.

The art-student bought the cardboard cut-out of the Twilight character from a record shop in her hometown Memphis, Tennessee in November 2010 and said there was no proposal between she and her groom-to-be.

'I didn't ask him to marry me out loud. I didn't have to, and I knew by his silence he'd said yes. Of course he'd say "yes",' she said.

'My friends and family think I'm bonkers,' she added.

The wedding will be at the Viva Las Vegas chapel on January 26.
