Young eco-warrior chosen to spread green message
Eleven-year-old Neha Swaminathan has won the chance to become an environmentalist after fighting off competition from 400 youngsters.
Neha, who attends Delhi Private School in Sharjah, was selected by a panel of judges as the winner of a World Environment Day contest run by The Coca-Cola Company and AGL Coca-Cola UAE and Oman with support from Emirates Wildlife Society - World Wildlife Foundation.
The contest was run at KidZania at Dubai Mall and asked children to share their wishes for a greener world.
Neha, pictured centre, recycling newspapers, wanted to spread awareness about recycling and reducing waste on the theme that “Environmental care begins at your and my home.”
