No butts - pick up after yourself on the beach
I took my daughter to the open beach the other day.
We got all settled on our beach mat and I happened to
turn around and saw at least half a dozen cigarette butts sticking out of the sand.

Seriously smokers, do you really need to be so seriously disgusting? It’s vile enough that you pollute the air with the disgusting second-hand smoke, but do you really need to magnify just how filthy your habit is by leaving your butts lying around with all your germs?
I get that you have a right to poison your body however you see fit, but you don’t have the right to poison
everyone else.
Pick up your dirty butts and put them in the garbage! That’s what the blue bins all over the beach are for.

“Hi there,
I totally understand your frustration and I believe many people think the same way.
We have recently launched an initiative that tackles the "small trash on the beach" issue and can bring a solution to this problem once and for all.
Check us out at http://tinyurl.com/7rmrj26
We are running our pilot project on JBR (which is by far the beach that needs the most help when it comes to "small trash" such as cigarette butts, but not only)
Make sure to drop by so you see how it works there!
Best,
the Keep It Clean team”

“Not only is it unsightly, discarded cigarette butts have a detrimental effect on wildlife. For example, endangered sea turtles mistake them for food and eat them, which can poison them.”
