“I solemnly agree - can we bury them? Most of them seem to find Dubai / Abu Dhabi a haven for quick cash. I still remember the Kelly Rowland show - we paid so much for nought. Yeah where were these guys in their hey day?? Well they are outta cash and the rumour has it that Dubai and Abu Dhabi - both beautiful Emirates have loads of people who are dying to pay and listen to the dying. No celebrity no matter how famous/ outrageous in their days should be looking to entertain unless they can still show us their best - that's what we deserve! BTW Foster the People - Okay! Adele - Dunno - possibly if i haven't anything better to do that day...”

“Event organisers need a few lessons in organising first.
Another obstacle is quite simply, some bands won't come here. U2 have said publically that they will not visit Dubai, or the UAE. Pink came out and played at Dubai Media City, but because the venue was so limited, she couldn't bring half of her show.
On top of which, the event organisers and venue roped everyone into spending money on vendor cards that were just a scam! And in the heat, refused people to carry water to where they were seated/standing, after they just purchased it...”
“Dubai seems to be becoming the city where musicians come to die. Don't get me wrong, I love The Eagles and even considered going to the Duran Duran gig (Madge not so much). But why aren't events organisers trying to get current artists out here? We had Amy Winehouse, but she was rubbish and on her way to the grave anyway. How about some Adele? Or Foster the People?”
