“i think the opposite, RTA have loads to learn.
1. fix the traffic lights ,some of them, we have to stop 15 meters before the traffic light ,and because there is no indication that we have to stop there, its not hard to place a small traffic light facing the drivers view where we should stop.
2.most every contry the driving code book is a 500 pages with regulations, here you learn the sign and thats all, pople have no idea what side should be driving and what is the white line on the roads.
3. get speed limits radars on the small roads, they keep forgetting when i see taxi drivers driving around 100 in a city center road.safety it what it matters, should be 50km hour inside city roads.nobody dies with that speed, and rta can make an aditional profit from people that dont care about the rules.
4. get undercover police to get fines to all people that dont stop on the pedestrian signs and they drive with the mobile phone, i see that every 30 seconds in dubai, extra money for rta if they charge more fines.
5.get undercover police to check the driving professors, i heard so many people that pay 2000 aed to get the driving lesson even if they dont know how to drive, after failing everything, with 2000 aed they pass everything.
5.get cameras to take pictures of parking mistakes and speedy tickets, because i know so many people that when they know someone, they always get the fines cleared, we talking about safety here.
6. change the taxi drivers to different nationalitys rather than pakistanis, they drive to fast, and they are simply rude, no hello, no manners, in the other day i walked inside the taxi and the man gave me a big smille, i ask him where is from, he told me india, i can see now.”
“I think RTA is doing lot of good thing to improve Dubai Road Transport facilities. But I don't understand why there is no Pedestrian Signal in the busiest Roundabout in Trade Centre. It is very dangerous to cross the roads there. Please do something to save the Pedestrians.
