What about a dress code for swimmers...
I was swimming at the Lakes club when two women from eastern Europe, who were with families, got out of the pool wearing thong-style bikini bottoms and were drying themselves off with little modesty.
So it’s all very well saying we need a dress code for the malls but it is also the responsibility of the businesses concerned to speak to people who flout the codes and do as they want without sparing a thought for standards and customs. It really does need to be taken seriously before it spoils it for those of us who are tactful and respectful.

“Yes I agree..... there is a major language barrier which restricts awareness of the UAE requirements. Nowhere do we see the "dress modestly" information written in Russian for example. Even this newspaper and website brings a lot of awareness to English speakers as we are all discussing this in English, and I presume other media are addressing this in Arabic. But what about all the other languages who are almost oblivious to this whole debate??
