Why punish all because a few haven't paid up?
So it seems fury is spreading further down Palm Jumeirah. Last week we noticed that our lovely cold pool in Marina Residence was now half empty and a hideous dark green colour.
At first we thought they were cleaning it but friends in the building next door (there are six Marina Residence buildings) complained that theirs was the same. It’s been confirmed by our landlord today that once again Nakheel is punishing all residents regardless of whether they’ve paid their fees or not. How is this fair? We’ve also been told that the gyms are going to be locked too. An alternative solution would be to individually punish landlords who have not paid as opposed to these aggressive tactics.
I’m assuming, as well, that there is no chance now that our fire alarm system is going to be fixed. For months our fire alarm has gone off intermittently throughout each building every five minutes, morning and night. If there was to be a fire in these buildings you can guarantee no-one would move an inch.

After the recent tragedy in Doha you would think the developers would be working to avoid this and ensure their residents’ safety. This is completely unacceptable. Before they know it, Palm Jumeirah will be a deserted island.

“And let''s not forget Nakheel's threat to disconnect the building's Palm Utilities (AC) connection if the outstanding charges haven't been paid by the end of this month. It's really unfortunate that we can't go anywhere to complain about these issues, I've been told that RERA hasn't been helpful at all in this matter.
